‘ThunderCats’ Trailer Is Online…Sort Of
At first glance, you might think that this was some major pre-holiday bombshell that was dropped on us, as it appears to be a legit trailer for a ThunderCats feature film. Well, that is before you catch a glimpse of what sounds like Lion-O’s guardian Jaga, who bears a striking similarity to the Grail Knight from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Then, you realize that this is a fan-made work of art.
YouTube user, WormyT must have labored long and hard to create this masterpiece. He uses clips from tons of source films such as Troy, Chronicles of Riddick, Spy Kids, and Blade Runner to create this spectacular trailer. According to him, all of the effects were done frame-by-frame in Photoshop. (That must have been a long and tedious process.)
Huge props go out to him for his hard work, showing Hollywood how it’s done, and for possibly making us think “hey, Vin Diesel would actually be pretty awesome in that role.”
